Shopify → Grailed

Your Shopify store, listed on Grailed.

DEADSTOCK puts your pieces on Grailed for you. When something sells, in your store or on Grailed, the other listing comes down on its own.

Plans from $49 a monthEarly access: I approve each new store myself and help get it set up.

Finn, who builds DEADSTOCK

Who's behind it

Hi, I'm Finn.

I've been into clothes my whole life. Through friends I got deep into archive pieces, and at some point I had a closet full of things I wasn't wearing but were still really cool. So I started selling them. That turned into my store, innocences.

Selling on Shopify, I kept seeing the same thing: people either re-listed everything on Grailed by hand, or skipped Grailed completely. The tools out there would import your stuff, and the second something went wrong you were fixing it all yourself. That's not what an app like this is for. You should set it up once and then it just works. So I built the one I wanted.

of listing by hand saved*

Plus 390+ sold pieces taken down on their own, so nothing sold twice. Used by Alex Maxamenko, 20 Maud Archive, DRIEW Garments and my own store, innocences. These numbers update by themselves. *Hours are my estimate: about 12 minutes to list a piece on Grailed by hand, and 3 to take one down when it sells.

01 · How it works

Set it up once. Then it runs.

About twenty minutes, one time. After that there is nothing to remember.

  1. Step 1

    Sign in to Grailed, once

In a private browser on your own DEADSTOCK server. Your Grailed login never leaves it.

  2. Step 2

    Connect your Shopify store

Install DEADSTOCK and approve access. We read your products. We never add stock.

  3. Step 3

    That's it

Your pieces go up with the right designer, size, photos and price. A sale on either side takes the other listing down, usually within 15 minutes, and so does archiving a piece in Shopify.

Does this make sense for me?

One sale on Grailed pays for it.

A listing costs about $1.63. Sell one $200 piece on Grailed at a 50% profit and that sale pays for your next 61 listings, about 2 months of the plan. The typical piece our sellers list goes up at about $210. Leaving your pieces off Grailed is leaving money on the table.

02 · Careful by default

It never guesses with your stock.

When something is unclear, it waits for you instead of going live wrong.

Checked against your photo

Every listing is matched to your own product photo, not just its title.

Never adds stock

It only marks things sold. Restocking is always your decision.

Waits when unsure

A possible duplicate or an odd size waits in your dashboard, with one plain fix. Fix it in Shopify and it goes up by itself.

Good to know.

Short answers. Anything else, write to [email protected].

No. Everything runs on your own private DEADSTOCK server in the cloud, day and night.
Only to mark a piece sold when it sells on Grailed. It never adds stock.
A Shopify store, and a Grailed account with a default return address and a payout method (Grailed Payments or PayPal): Grailed won't publish a listing without those two. Then your pieces need a photo, a price and a size.
Pieces that are on your online store, in stock with tracked inventory, priced and photographed, one piece per product (a product with several sizes is skipped). You choose the start date: everything, or only pieces added since a day you pick.
Your Shopify price in US dollars, plus a markup that covers Grailed's fees (15% unless you change it), rounded up to a whole dollar, or to end in 0 or 5 if you prefer. It's set once, when the piece goes up, and never changed after.
Within a few hours. Your store is checked every hour, and new pieces go up newest first, about 20 minutes apart, up to your plan's daily number. If more are waiting than that, the older ones go up spread through the day, so new ones always go first. Never in a burst, because Grailed slows down accounts that list in bursts. If Grailed ever asks it to slow down, it does.
Every day your server picks a few of its newest listings at random and checks them against your Shopify store and Grailed: still for sale, the right price, size and designer. If the same problem shows up, I'm told and fix the cause.
It waits for you instead of guessing. You'll see it in your dashboard with a single, plain fix, like “add the size”. Fix it in Shopify and the piece goes up by itself.
Once a week is enough. Your dashboard shows what went up, what sold and what needs you since your last visit. If Grailed has a hiccup, posting picks up again by itself.
Archive and vintage sellers: a piece a day at high prices, or many a day at lower ones. There's a plan for each.
It's $3 a listing, or a plan from $49 a month (see pricing). It's billed on your normal Shopify invoice. To cancel, email us. If a technical problem stops it working for your store and we can't fix it within 14 days of your first plan charge, you get that charge back.
